The Los Angeles Lakers have recalled Bronny James on Monday.

As the team heads into the second night of a back-to-back set, facing the Phoenix Suns, the Lakers are going to have James available as an option on the bench.

Recently, Bronny spent time with the South Bay Lakers once again. He now has four games of G League action under his belt this season.

Following his recent G League action, Bronny has been posting averages of 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. He is shooting 34 percent from the field and 18.2 percent from three (taking 5.5 threes per game), and knocking down 83.3 percent of his free throws.

When playing for South Bay last season, he averaged 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists during the Tip-Off Tournament run. When he appeared in 11 regular-season games, he thrived by posting averages of 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. He made 44 percent of his shots from the field and drilled 38 percent of his threes.

During one of his recent assignments, James addressed the expectations for his development in the G League.

“I’m trying to focus now on bettering myself off the ball,” he told reporters a couple of weeks ago. “Me and JJ [Redick] talked about all the ball handlers on the parent team, so I have to learn how to be effective off the ball. Have a point-five mentality.”

So far this season, Bronny James has played in 11 games with the LA Lakers. He even started back on November 15, when the Lakers faced the Milwaukee Bucks.

James is off to a quiet start at the main level. Seeing the court for 10.2 minutes per game, Bronny has made 28 percent of his shots from the field and knocked down 25 percent of his threes. The young veteran has produced 1.9 points and 1.7 assists per game.

On Monday, the Lakers are slated for a 10 PM ET tip. They are searching for their eighth win in a row, after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. The Lakers enter the matchup with a 15-4 record, which places them second in the Western Conference, sitting only behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.
