Iowa State junior center Audi Crooks delivered another historic performance Sunday, breaking her own program record with 47 points in a 106-95 win over Indiana in the Coconut Hoops Blue Heron Division Championship.

The effort earned her Big Ten Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and reaffirmed her status as one of the most dominant scorers in the country.

Crooks shot 19-for-25 from the field, all inside the arc, and controlled the interior from the opening quarter through the final buzzer. It marked her third 40-point game in less than two seasons and continued a scoring pace that no defender has been able to slow.

With Sunday’s output, Crooks now leads the nation with 27.3 points per game, narrowly ahead of Notre Dame standout Hannah Hidalgo and Florida’s Liv McGill. She also holds the top field-goal percentage in the country at 74% while averaging only 25.3 minutes. Her efficiency remains unmatched, and her consistency is the foundation of Iowa State’s 9-0 start.

Crooks’ Production Is Reaching Rare Territory

...

Sunday’s performance followed a 43-point showing against Valparaiso earlier this month, where she scored 44% of the Cyclones’ offense in just 20 minutes. She has at least 18 points in every game this season and has scored 20 or more in seven of nine contests.

The reliability stretches back to her freshman year. Crooks has scored in double figures in 76 of her 77 career games and has recorded 48 career outings with at least 20 points. That level of predictability from a post player has quickly become one of Iowa State’s defining advantages.

National Attention Is Following

...

Her dominance has drawn praise from across the sport. Earlier in November, ESPN’s Pat McAfee labeled Crooks “unstoppable” and suggested Iowa State could make a deep March run behind her growth and production.

“I think every game that she plays, I’m seeing absurd stat lines like this," MCAfee said. "And I legitimately don’t think she’s stoppable. Anytime she comes in, the whole place knows, the other team knows it’s about to go down. Her team knows we’re putting this ball in one place. It’s awesome! I think they’re winning the national championship.”

At 9-0, the Cyclones face Northern Illinois on Dec. 7 before hosting rival Iowa on Dec. 10. Crooks enters both games as the nation’s leading scorer and the central force behind Iowa State’s early-season momentum.
