Anya Taylor-Joy is the face of Dior. Ayo Edebiri is the face of Chanel. Clairo is Alessandro Michele’s latest muse at Valentino, and somehow, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are Moncler’s current ambassadors. Every brand thinks long and hard about which celebrities it wants to be associated with. Who is emblematic of the brand ethos, while current enough to attract the target audience?

For Palace’s 2025 holiday lookbook, the legendary skate brand has tapped one of the year’s coolest emerging musicians. Canadian alt-pop artist Sophia Stel began gaining attention last year with her dreamy synths and debut EP Object Permanence. She’s been on the rise ever since, releasing a deluxe edition of her debut, as well as a follow-up project, How to Win At Solitaire.

A brand synonymous with cool, it’s no wonder Stel caught Palace’s attention, particularly given her relationship with skate culture. “It’s played a pretty big role in who I am as a person,” she told Dazed earlier this year, explaining the way that skaters have influenced her visual identity. “I lived with a bunch of skaters for a while when I was fresh out of high school. We would watch a lot of videos and compilations. The really cool thing about skate videos is they have to rely on these unpredictable moments.”

The Vancouver-born artist has lived many lives already, having worked as a gardener, a painter and a bartender. Last month, she made her catwalk debut walking for Ann Demeulemeester, and now, she can add campaign star to her CV too. Elsewhere in fashion this week, Monday got off to a bang with an off-schedule 16Arlington x Anthony Price catwalk show, featuring an appearance from none other than West End girl, Lily Allen. We went behind the scenes on Dev Hynes’ first Valentino campaign, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin answered our dA-Zed quiz. Here’s everything else you missed…

To think of Juicy Couture is to think of the legendary velour tracksuits, beloved by the likes of Regina George, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. With the resurgence of noughties nostalgia, naturally, Juicy tracksuits have come crashing back into the mainstream – but now the brand is launching denim too. You can see the brand’s first full-denim collection here.
