Texas A&M Aggies (10–0, 7–0 SEC) come into this game riding high: they just pulled off a wild comeback, winning 31–30 over South Carolina last week — one of several tight games this season. Their undefeated run is impressive, and they’re ranked No. 3 nationally, putting real pressure on themselves to finish strong. Coach Mike Elko has stressed that, despite the dominance, they need to keep “playing to their standard” even against a weaker opponent.
Samford Bulldogs (1–10, 1–7 SoCon) are having a rough season. Their only win came against VMI, and last week they fell 30–16 at Austin Peay after mounting a late fourth-quarter effort. Offensively, they’ve struggled to run the ball, averaging just about 72.6 rushing yards per game, which ranks last in the FCS. On defense, linebacker Jaden Mosley has been a bright spot; he’s among the SoCon leaders in tackles.
