By Cole SullivanShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Buffalo Bills just wrapped up their Week 12 matchup against the Houston Texans on Thursday night, a 23-19 loss in which star quarterback Josh Allen was sacked a staggering eight times.
However, there was an incident from the week prior during the Bills’ 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that required a ruling from the NFL. That decision came on Saturday when the league released its weekly fines at 4 p.m. EST.
The incident occurred in the second quarter when Allen was sacked by Buccaneers pass rusher Logan Hall, who drove him hard into the ground. The play drew a roughing-the-passer penalty from officials.
Video of the incident is below.

Given how often defensive players have been fined this season for similar plays anytime they land on a quarterback after a roughing call, many fans expected Hall to receive a fine as well.
However, after issuing a total of 23 fines from Week 11, including several to defensive players, the league ultimately decided that Hall would not be fined for the hit, which doesn't stay all that consistent with the precedent they've set this season to defensive players and hits that are dealt on the QB.
...Two Bills players — Joey Bosa and Ty Johnson — were fined for actions in the matchup against Tampa Bay, while no Buccaneers players received any punishment from the game.
Johnson was fined $10,777 for an obscene gesture and unsportsmanlike conduct late in the second quarter with 45 seconds remaining. Bosa was fined $17,389 for hitting the quarterback below the knee.
