By Adeola AdeosunShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberMorgan Geyser, who was sentenced following her involvement in a 2014 attempted murder case linked to the fictional Slender Man character, has escaped from a group home in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Madison Police Department released a statement on Facebook that Geyser cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left the facility on Saturday night around 8 p.m. She was last seen in the area of Kroncke Drive with an adult acquaintance.
Authorities were notified of her disappearance Sunday morning and are actively searching for her.
The Madison Police Department has released a recent security video image of Geyser from this past month. Authorities are urging anyone who sees her to call 911 immediately.
