By Cole SullivanShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberRookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his second career NFL start on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns as they hosted the San Francisco 49ers.
While only trailing 10-8 at halftime, they were outscored 16-0 in the second half and ended up dropping the game 26-8 to fall to 3-9 on the season, while the 49ers improved to 9-4.
Sanders finished the matchup completing 16 of his 25 passes for 149 yards, one touchdown, and zero turnovers. He's 1-1 in his first two starts and has totaled two touchdowns and one turnover.
After the game, however, a Browns reporter was held accountable by Sanders for asking a question about Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski's decision to go for it twice on fourth-and-one, which both resulted in turnover on downs.
Sanders believed it was a "rude question to ask" trying to bait him into a potential controversial answer about his coach after just his second start.
"I mean, first that's a rude question to ask if I think it was a great call by my coach," Sanders said. "I like being out there playing. So whatever that comes with it comes with. We not going to ever be up here pointing no fingers at no coaches. That's extremely disrespectful”

Shedeur Sanders was selected in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft out of Colorado, where he spent two seasons playing under his father, Deion Sanders, who served as head coach. His first two collegiate seasons were also under his father at Jackson State in the FCS.
Many draft analysts projected Sanders as the second-best quarterback in the class behind Cam Ward, who went No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans.
However, Sanders experienced one of the most surprising draft-day falls in recent memory, ultimately going in the fifth round to the Cleveland Browns after they had already selected Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel in the third round.
...After initially serving as the third-string quarterback for part of the season and later moving up to second string, Sanders has worked his way into the starting role. Following the game, head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Sanders will once again start next week against the Tennessee Titans.
