If you're at all interested in Cyber Monday VR deals, you may be surprised to see how many discounted headsets there are right now. Even a few years ago, you didn't have much choice with what headset to buy, but it feels like there's been a big resurgence in this technology of late. With the Steam Frame driving the prices of the current market a little crazy, there's a lot to choose from.

Black Friday has given way to Cyber Monday, but these days that usually means that the majority of discounts that have been available for the last week or so have only a day left to go. Having reviewed a fair few VR headsets and accessories, I want to help you navigate this field of discounts. I believe depending on you, your VR experience, your intended uses, and your budget, there's a perfect visor for you - we just need to find it.

I've spotlit a few of my favorite deals down below for you to browse through. PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle | $399 $299 at AmazonSave $100 - PSVR 2's current price is a return to its lowest-ever cost at Amazon, and considering this device launched at $550, we'd say it's a great opportunity for PS5 and PC players alike. You can technically get it a bit cheaper at BJs, but I wouldn't expect that deal to stick around for long, so I've linked to Amazon above since that'll be the easiest for most shoppers.

Pico 4 Ultra | £529 £379 at AmazonSave $150 - This is one for UK readers, since it's not a headset that's not available in the US. The 4 Ultra is only £10 above its record low price in this deal, but seeing as the Quest 3 512GB refuses to get a discount, that's not a bad thing.

As much as I'd love to recommend Amazon's deal on either the standalone HTC Vive Pro 2, or its full kit, I don't think its current price is worth it.

At Amazon, the headset on its own has an average price of $634, and while its current discount goes below that to $594 at Amazon, it's not even close to its lowest-ever cost of $475. For an older device that still needs motion trackers set up in the room you're using it in, that's not ideal. There are newer headsets with similar specs that are cheaper, so I'd go for one of those instead.

I reviewed this charging belt for the Quest 3 and 3S devices the other week, and I'm a big fan of it as an alternative to wearing a battery head strap that makes your device heavier on your head. VR headsets have spent years trying to strip down weight to increase comfort so that you can spend longer wearing them without needing to give your nose a break. While most battery straps will distribute that weight more evenly, it can still cause discomfort in more ways than one.

The PrismXR charging belt is seeing a discount down to $47.99 at Amazon in a Prime-exclusive Cyber Monday deal. This essentially doubled the lifespan of my Meta Quest 3, and it still comes in around the same sort of price as most battery head straps.

Should you buy the Quest 3S or PSVR 2 if you're on a budget?

Okay, I'm going to try to answer this as simply as I can.

↘️If you're on a really tight budget, the Quest 3S is $50 cheaper, so that may be the simplest way to decide.

↗️If you play games on a PS5 already, then I'd argue PSVR 2 is a better deal since it's going to pull better gaming performance from your existing console than the Quest 3S would in standalone mode.

↗️If you mainly play on PC, I'd go for PSVR 2 since its OLED panels and higher resolution are going to be massive bonuses for harnessing your GPU's power.

↘️If you plan to use a VR headset for more than just gaming, go for the Quest 3S, since PSVR 2 doesn't have a standalone mode or mixed-reality features.
