Ed Sheeran has dismissed rumours of a rift between him and Taylor Swift, and said that the two of them recently had a four-hour-long conversation.

The two of them have been friends for years and collaborated on multiple tracks together, including ‘Everything Has Changed’, ‘End Game’ and ‘Run’.

He shared the update when speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM earlier this year, and when the host seemed shocked that he wasn’t told directly by the pop star ahead of the post, Sheeran simply replied: “No”.
Now, the ‘Shape Of You’ singer has done another interview and clarified that there is no bad blood between him and Swift, despite what some people online might suggest.
“I’m not self-conscious about my relationship with her,” he told Access Hollywood. “We’ve been friends for very, very many years. We’re super close and we see each other when we see each other, and when we see each other, we lock back into where we left off.”
RecommendedHe continued: “My way of viewing it is like, me and Taylor are mates and I will see her… And I saw her a week after that happened, so I did that interview and then I saw her and you talk in person.”
Sheeran also said how he had a phone call with her that lasted four hours, and added that he thinks by not having a phone, he misses out on a lot of opportunities to catch up with those close to him and “lose[s] actual human connection”.
Back in October, Swift acknowledged that she didn’t tell Sheeran about the engagement ahead of time, and clarified that he is still “one of her absolute favourite people”, and she didn’t tell him because he doesn’t have a phone.

Since then, Sheeran has admitted that he regularly confides in Swift and that they discuss each other’s work together, while has suggested Ed Sheeran may perform at her wedding.
In 2021, Sheeran revealed that he once took the pop icon to his local pub for a drink, and was amazed when nobody recognised her. Also that year, he shared a video of him re-recording his vocals for her song ‘Everything Has Changed’, after featuring on the 2012 original.
