With Selection Sunday less than a week away, No. 12 Miami (9-2) is currently on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoff while No. 9 Notre Dame (9-2) is positioned to qualify.
This is despite the fact that Miami defeated Notre Dame 27-24 in its regular season NCAA football opener on Aug. 31.
The CFP debate between Miami and Notre Dame has lit up social media with plenty of strong opinions. Meanwhile, the ACC is lobbying for Miami in a variety of ways. This includes showing numerous replays of Miami's victory vs. Notre Dame on the ACC Network this week, in order to refresh the minds of the CFP selection committee.

The ACC Network will re-air the game a whopping 12 more times throughout the next five days, capped off with a showing at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday.
A five-way tie-breaker is placing 7-5 Duke in the ACC Championship Game vs. No. 18 Virginia instead of Miami. Notre Dame is an independent with no conference affiliation.

"We've got to get a little better at that," Radakovich said, "and I can't tell you what the answer is right now, but I think we've got to look at some different things that might be able to streamline that and make sure that the league is going to put its best foot forward."
Both of Miami's losses are by single digits against opponents unranked at the time. Miami lost 24-21 vs. visiting Louisville and 26-20 at SMU. Notre Dame began the season at 0-2 after losses to ranked teams Miami and Texas A&M before reeling off its current nine-game winning streak.
As part of the ACC's pitch, it's noted that Miami has more wins vs. CFP top 10 teams (1), FPI top 40 opponents (5), and as many wins (4) vs. common opponents as Notre Dame.
