Several former WWE stars also responded to CM Punk and AJ Lee's news, including Elayna Black, aka Cora Jade, who was released by the company earlier this year, and former WWE announcer Samantha Irvin.

According to Punk's statement he released after Larry's death, the dog changed his and AJ's lives, and called it "a privilege to be so heart broken and devastated for having experienced such a bond."

The devastating news arrives just days after Punk and AJ starred in matches at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. AJ appeared in the opening match, a women's WarGames match, while Punk was part of the main event men's WarGames match.

While AJ's team emerged victorious after she locked a submission hold on foe Becky Lynch to make her tap, Punk was on the losing side of things, getting speared by Bron Breakker and pinned in the main event.
