By Evan MasseyShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberThe Cincinnati Bengals are making their final preparations for their Week 12 matchup against the New England Patriots. Ahead of that game, the status of superstar quarterback Joe Burrow has become a major talking point.
Burrow has been out since September 14th due to a toe injury.
To this point, no concrete announcement has been made about Burrow's status against the Patriots. He has been able to fully participate in practice, which leads fans to believe that he should be good to go for Sunday's game.

With that being said, head coach Zac Taylor has spoken out on Friday about Burrow's current status. It wasn't a huge update.
...As shared by Armando Salguero of FOX, Taylor revealed that he doesn't have an official update about Burrow's status.
"Bengals coach Zac Taylor says no announcement today on Joe Burrow starting or not on Sunday," Salguero wrote on X. "He is will be listed as questionable vs. New England Patriots."
Throughout the first two games of the season, Burrow completed 58.3 percent of his pass attempts for 189 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
At 28 years old, Burrow has had a rough go of it from an injury perspective throughout his NFL career. He has taken a lot of hits due to the Bengals consistently not having a great offensive line protecting him. That needs to be taken care of moving forward.
Going up against New England will be no easy task even if Burrow does return to the field. Mike Vrabel and the Patriots come into this week's game with an AFC best 8-2 record. Right now, New England appears to be a top Super Bowl contender in the conference.

Cincinnati, on the other hand, is just 3-7 this season. Barring a mind-blowing turnaround, the Bengals are slated to miss the playoffs once again. It has been a disappointing all-around year for the franchise.
Hopefully, Burrow is able to make his return to the field. The NFL is in a much better position with Burrow playing than missing action. For now, it remains uncertain if he'll be able to play or not, but Burrow is heading in the right direction and will be back on the field in the near future.
