By Michael GallagherShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberDallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens had arguably his best game with his new team in Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders, but some post-whistle antics have landed him in hot water.
Pickens, who caught nine passes for 144 yards and a touchdown in Dallas’ 33-16 win, took things a little too far after his 37-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter — and the NFL hit him right in the wallet for it.
After putting the Cowboys ahead 24-6, the 24-year-old Pickens leaped onto and hugged the goal post — a clear violation of NFL rules.

Because of his over-the-top celebration, the league fiend Pickens $26,085 for use of a prop. It was the biggest fine handed out by the NFL in Week 11.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams was penalized for the exact same celebration, but his fine was considerably less ($14,491).
It’s Pickens’ 14th career fine — his first for use of a prop during a celebration. He’s been fined five times for taunting, twice for excessive facemask, and once for a blindside block, displaying a personal message, an obscene gesture, making a violent gesture, unsportsmanlike conduct, and removing his helmet.
...In total, Pickens has been fined $191,155 over the course of his four-year NFL career.
Pickens wasn’t the only Cowboys player to face supplemental discipline form the NFL in Week 11. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was hit with an $8,166 fine for a late hit.
